Most often we have been able to achieve this with our financial assistance but that’s not the only way we try to help. From business planning to succession planning support, counselling and advisory services, and providing links and even introductions to other groups, associations and agencies that may be more specific or suitable to meet your situation, we are always looking for ways to help grow the job opportunities available in our community.
We will often sit down with individuals who simply want to learn how to go about growing their idea, or gaining the professional advice they require. From our office staff to our Board of Directors, to the relationships we have in the community and beyond, the KLCFDC can provide this information or at the very least point you towards someone or something where you will be able to find what your looking for.
Our Board of Directors is made up of business and community leaders, or as some might say, people who know people. They are familiar with the challenges of getting what you may need to get your job done—because they’ve done it themselves. And they are more than willing to meet with you and discuss how they, through their own experience, may be able to help with your challenges. We also have a strong network of area professionals…lawyers, accountants, business strategists and others that we can often not only put you in touch with but even arrange an initial meeting - often free of charge.
